Born in Muncie, and a graduate of Muncie Central High School, he was employed as a metallurgist for the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during World War II, shortly after which he was retired. He was a member of Muncie Aerie 231, Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter, residing in the Chicago area and several cousins in the Muncie community.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Earl Vaughn, pastor of Shawnee Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Post 19 American Legion section. Friends may call at the mortuary between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday.
