Aaron Gillett was probably the son of Abner Gillett 1741 and Hannah Culver. He was christened in 1771 at Nine Partners, Dutchess County, New York (age 9). There is also a record of christening or baptism on Apr 13, 1766, Amenia.
In 1789 his first wife, Sylvia, died, and is buried in the Amenia burying grounds in Dutchess County, New York. "Sylvia Gillett, wife of Aaron, d. Oct 22, 1789 ae 22."
In 1794 he married Anna Carter in Greene, Chenango, New York. Then apparently the couple moved to Middlefield, Otsego, New York where other members of his family lived.
The couple had one daughter, Lydia Eliza Gillett 1812, who married Gilbert Page, then lived in Columbus, Chenango, New York, and later Fredericksburg, Chickasaw, Iowa, and had six children.
Aaron's burial place is not known, it is likely somewhere in Otsego County, New York.
