Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Rachel Riffle, aged 53 years, wife of A. L. Riffle, who died Saturday night, June 18, on the Judge Inghram farm in Franklin township. Following short services in the Riffle home at 1 o'clock, further rites were conducted in the Centennial church at 2:30 by Rev. V. K. Betts. Interment was in the Centennial cemetery. With the exception of the past two years, Mrs. Riffle had spent all her life in Aleppo township, where she was widely known. She was born April 27, 1879, a daughter of John and Margaret Smith Staggers. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Perry, of Aleppo, and Don, of Waynesburg; a daughter, Mrs. George Kamerer, of Wilkinsburg, and two brothers, Samuel Staggers, of Venequela, and William Staggers, of Aleppo.
