Susanah Garrett Ambrosius, daughter of George and Delila Garrett, was born Jul 18, 1857 and departed this life March 29, 1923; being 65 years 7 months and 29 days. She grew to young womanhood on a farm near Browning. She was united in marriage to Elijah Ambrosius, Sept 7, 1876. To this union was born four children. Two sons and two daughters. One son William Henry departed this life April 22, 1920. She leaves to mourn her loss the following children: Mrs. George Gabbert of Huntsville, Ill.; Mrs. Myrtle Althiser of Baker, Mont.; and Thomas Ambrosius of Huntsville, Ill. and twenty grand children. The father and companion preceded her in death six years and five days ago. She was united with the Southern Methodist Church at Union thirty-five years ago. After moving to Camden she united by letter to her home church, which she enjoyed helping and doing what she could for sick friends. She was one of a family of nine children, the youngest being fifty nine years of age. Only once before had this circle been broken. The eldest brother departed this life four years ago. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Joahan Reno of Browning, Ill; Mrs. Sarah Skiles, Mrs Martha Lynch, Mrs. Nancy Baker and Thomas J. Garrett, all of Franklin,. Nebraska; Peter C. Garrett of Torington, Wyo. and John H. Garrett of McCook, Nebraska. Besides these she leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Not only will she be missed by relatives buy by all who knew her for to know her was to love her. She has always been know by the neighbors' children as "Aunt Sude." She was one who enjoyed company and always liked to have the neighbors come to see her. During her illness she appreciated all that was done for her.
