Hattie Mae Fletcher, formerly of Rugby, TN, age 83, passed away on Friday morning, April 22, 2011, at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Oneida. Born November 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Nettie Meece Bertram. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church where she was Treasurer for several years.


Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fletcher; Brothers: Othnel, Clifford, Curtis and Douglas Bertram. One infant brother, Luther Bertram. Two Sisters: Flora Shelley and Natia Letner.


She is survived by her daughters: Diane West and husband, Marshall of Oneida; and Sandra Phillips and husband, Carmer of Helenwood. Three grandchildren: Michele Shepherd and husband, Andrew, Carmen Slaven and husband, Ricky, and Jason Terry and fiancee, Shonda Cross. Five great-grandchildren: Brice Burress, Elisha Shepherd, Chesney Shepherd, Kiley and Carter Slaven. Her twin brother: Ray Bertram and wife, Jean of Elgin. A special niece: Sally Carey.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida on Sunday evening, April 24th, 2011. Funeral services will be Monday morning, April 25th, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. Leonard Bertram officiating. Pallbearers will be Carmer and Sandra Phillips, Andrew Shepherd, Jason Terry, William Crabtree and Brice Burress.


Burial will follow in the Laurel Dale Cemetery in Rugby, TN.
