Ada is survived by one step-son: James Norris (Alma) Cooksey of Willisburg, two brothers: Ernest Clay McGinnis and Jay Lee McGinnis, three sisters: Lula M. Bugg of Harrodsburg, Dorothy Foster of Hopkinsville and Betty Lou (Bob) Oswald of AZ, one granddaughter: Kimberly Lee Weldon, two step-granddaughters: Charlotte Allen and Melissa Pierce, one step-grandson: James Cooksey, Jr, two great-grandchildren: Rick Allen and Killian Pierce, several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Donald Winston Weldon and Warnell E. Weldon, one brother: David Lee McGinnis and two sisters: Margaret Lee (Virgil) Prewitt and Mary Louise (Gorman) Campbell.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., April 28, 2011 at the Magnolia Street Christian Church with Caleb Penwell and Greg Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Mike Hreha, Roger Hardin, Dion Long, Bud Isham and Rick Allen serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class at the Magnolia Street Christian Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 12:00 noon Thursday at the Magnolia Street Christian Church. Expressions of sympathy may take form of donations to the Magnolia Street Christian Church Building Fund, 332 South Magnolia Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
