Christine (Cutsforth) Loenser, 91, Grand Rapids, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Leisure Hills Care Center, Grand Rapids, with three of her children at her side.

She was born July 4, 1911, to Alvin and Ada (Piatt) Nichols at Spirit Lake, Idaho. She married Spencer Cutsforth on Aug. 10, 1929, at Eau Claire. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1966.

She married Hans Loenser on June 21, 1975, at Wisconsin Rapids. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1981. She spent most of her life in the Dallas/Sand Creek area, living in Grand Rapids the last eight years.

Throughout her life, she filled her cellar with hundreds of jars of canned vegetables, fruit, pickles, meat, and garden produce. She spent hundreds of hours sewing clothes for her family, mending, cooking, and making quilts.

During her childrens' college years, she fed and boarded dozens of college friends on the weekends. She later did the same for her children and grandchildren that were "home for the weekend."

She still found time to minister through prayers and writing letters for an ever expanding company of people and needs.

Surviving are sons, Lorenzo (Elaine) and David (Marlyce) Cutsforth, both of Grand Rapids; daughters, Eileen (Larry) Bisonette of Dallas, Roberta (Robert) Ross of Kalispell, Mont., Juanita (Johnny) Thoen of Farwell, Minn., Sharon (Mike) Olin of Grand Rapids, and Mary Ellen (James) Mattson of Chetek; 24 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Shumate of Illinois; other relatives; and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, from Dallas Assembly of God, Reverends Rachael O'Mera, Robert Ross, and Larry Bisonette officiating, with interment at Dallas Cemetery, Town of Dallas, Barron County.

Mark Rausch Funeral Service, Dallas and Cameron, handled arrangements.
