Mrs. Helen S Mellinger, of Orrtanna, widow of the late Elmer Mellinger, died this morning at the Warner hospital of a complication of diseases.
She was admitted as a patient 12 days ago. She had been in ill health for the past two years. She was a daughter of John Albert Cease, Orrtanna, with whom she lived and the late Mrs. Martha M. Biesecker Cease.
Mrs. Mellinger’s husband died October 22, 1935. She was a member of the Methodist church at Orrtanna, and of the church ladies’ aid society. She is survived by one daughter, Janice, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Dorsey Herring and Mrs. George Harbaugh, both of Orrtanna and Mrs. Warren Boyer, Biglerville; and one brother, Byron Cease, Orrtanna.
Funeral services from the Methodist church, Orrtanna, Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with the
Rev. George W Harrison, pastor officiating. Burial in Flohr’s cemetery.
