Mrs. Margaret E. Herring, 71, Orrtanna, died Tuesday evening at 9:00 at the Warner Hospital. She had been in ill health for the last several years.
Born in Orrtanna she was the daughter of the late John A. and Margaret M. (Biesecker) Cease. Her husband Dorsey E. Herring, preceded her in death in October, 1966.
She had been employed at the Orrtanna plant of Knouse Foods Corp. for the last 18 years and was a member of the Orrtanna Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Shriner, Orrtanna; one grandson, William C. Shriner Jr.; a brother, Byron Cease, Bonneauville, and two sisters, Mrs. Warren Boyer, Biglerville, and Mrs. Martha Harbaugh, Orrtanna. There are a number of nieces and nephews and four grand-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, with Rev. Richard Bonham, officiating. Interment will take place in Flohr’s Cemetery, near McKnightstown.
