Polly Ann Bishop, 87, of Center Point died June 19,2005, at Harbor View Care Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, after a brief illness.
Polly was born October 27, 1917, to Charles and Gussie Archer in Ingram, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Woodrow Bishop and her son, Ralph "Eric" Bishop. Polly was a member of the Jehovah Witness Riverside Congregation. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years at Starlight Recovery Center, where a new building will be dedicated to her. Her pastimes included quilting, sewing, gardening, garage sales, entertaining and cooking. She was dedicated to her Bible studies and her congregation. She touched many lives and will be missed by all.
As a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her survivors include; sons, Al Bishop and wife, Judy, Vic Bishop and wife, Nora, daughter-in-law Janie Bishop; grandchildren, Donna Jackson and husband, Scott, Cody Bishop, Clayt Bishop, Kara Daughtery, Kelly Dean and husband, Steve, Jeff Bishop and wife, Annie, Matt Bishop and wife, Carrie, Craig Bishop, Jennifer Rice and husband, Jeremy; and numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Cody Bishop, Clayt Bishop, Craig Bishop, Matt Bishop and Chad Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 24, 2005 at Kerrville Funeral Home with Alan Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
