Son of Judge Obed Waite. Harrison was a lawyer and elected clerk of the Berkeley Co. court for the 1st time in 1831. He was a Mason of Equality Lodge. He was also a member of the Protestant Episcopal Church.
Harrison Waite was twice married. On 9/2/1818 he married Mary Miller. On 10/31/1837 he married Sarah Holland. He was the father of 7 children: John, Mary Ann, Harrison, Obed, Louisa S., Thomas T., and Sarah H.
Harrison Waite lived at Pine Grove Plantation just outside of Martinsburg. See photo for what remains of the home today.
Harrison died suddenly of an apparent stroke at age 50. The Martinsburg Gazette announced that an auction of the slaves of the deceased Harrison Waite would be held in the Market House on 6/15/1846.
