J. W. MARCH OF COLONY DEAD
Was 81 Years Old and Had Been in Failing Health Some Time.
Funeral services were conducted for J. W. March of west of Colony, who died Monday of last week, the following afternoon by T. P. Burkhart of Rutledge in the Christian Church at Millport. Burial was in the church cemetery adjoining.
Mr. March, who wa 81 years old and had spent most of his life in the vicinity of hos farm, a few miles southeast of Millport, had been in failing health for some time. He had a sale Feb. 9, as he was unable to care for his farm, and he and his wife went to live at the home of his sister, Mrs. Wiley Williams, near Fabius, where death came.
Besides his widow and the sister mentioned Mr. March leaves a brother, George W. March, of Ft. Madison, Ia., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Joseph W. March was born Oct. 28, 1847, in Knox County, and he was married Nov. 2, 1873, to Miss Fannie J. Carter. In early life he united with the Christian Church at Millport of which he remained a member until his death.
