Obituary.
David March was born in Clark county, Ky., Jan. 27, 1818. Died at his home near Millport, April 11, 1898, aged 80 years, two months and fifteen days. He moved to Boone county, Mo., in 1828, to Knox county in 1845. He united with the Christian church at Millport in 1849, being a charter member of that congregation, which is the oldest congregation of the Christian church in Knox county. He lived an unostentatious Christian life and a very busy life being seldom away from home. He dealt honestly with all and was never heard to say an unkind word of any one. No one had fewer enemies than he. His home loses a kind husband and an indulgent father, and the community one of its best citizens. He has exchanged the cross for the crown. He leaves a wife, three sons, two daughters and many friends to mourn his loss. May we that have known and loved him so long, emulate his example that we may meet him in that beautiful home beyond the river. — J. R.
