Ward Emory Myers, a Rockingham County native, died suddenly at his home in Front Royal on Friday.

Mr. Myers was born Feb. 23, 1892, the son of the late Benjamin and Laura Lee Showalter Myers.

He married Stella Johnson, of Pleasant Valley, who died Sept. 2, 1959. He operated a dry cleaning business in Harrisonburg and also in Front royal from 1933 to 1939.

Surviving are three children, all of Front Royal, Ward E. Myers Jr., John Myers and Mrs. Joe Turner. Also a sister, Mrs. Ruby M. Price, of New Market, and four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at Scott’s Funeral Home in Front Royal, with the Rev. Oren Moore officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Crawford cemetery about 3 p.m. Sunday. Masonic Rites will be conducted at the grave by Rockingham Union Lodge 27, AF and AM of which he was a member.
