Mrs. Claire Huffman, Sextonville, widow of Orville Huffman, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1965 at the Richland Hospital after only a few days illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. G. H. Kintz officiating. Burial was in the Lime Ridge cemetery, beside her husband who died Mar. 20, 1950.
The former Claire Corliss, she was married in 1898 to Mr. Huffman. The couple spent most oftheir life at Sextonville.
One son, Myron C. Huffman, gave his life in service in France during World War II.
Surviving are six sons, John, Los Angeles, Lyle, Route 3, Carroll, Beloit, Scott, Yuba, Marion, Sextonville, and Charles, Richland Center; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Mueller, Richland Center, Mrs. Floyd Freestone and Mrs. Guy Smith, both of Sextonville; two half-sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Aken, Ponsford, Mich., and Mrs. Mildred Johnson, Baraboo, 35 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps., and that organization held memorial services for her Tuesday evening at the Pratt Chapel.
