She was best known for her roles on the daytime television soap series as Helene Benedict on "The Guiding Light" 1957 to 1964, as Rose Pollock on "The Edge of Night" 1965 to 1968 and as Kate Martin on "All My Children" 1970 to 1985. She died from injuries resulting from an automobile accident in Greenwich, New York on May 27, 1985.
