On Monday evening, in Dana, Mr. D.C. Bales died of lung trouble and general debility, aged 61 years and some months. The deceased had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Keys, for a number of years. The funeral was preached at Mrs. Keyes' residence, by Rev. J.E. Wright, Tuesday evening and he interment took place at the Bales burial ground.
