Jacob Fritz died at his home in Cashtown on Monday morning at 9:00, aged 77 years, 7 months and 29 days.
He is survived by his widow and the following children; John Fritz and Miss Lillie Fritz, at home; Abraham Fritz, of Penbrook.
He also leaves four brothers M Luther Fritz, G Morris Fritz and Harvey R Fritz, all of California; Henry Fritz of near Cashtown; and a sister Mrs. Eva V Gerger, of Newcastle, Indiana.
Funeral on Wednesday morning at 10:00 with services at his late home.

The son of Flety [?] & Lena Fritz, in 1860 he was a farmer living in Franklin Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. He stood 5' 4" tall and had dark hair and blue eyes.

A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Chambersburg February 1, 1864, mustered into federal service there February 3 as a private with Co. B, 21st Pennsylvania Cavalry (182nd Pa), and honorably discharged with his company July 8, 1865.
