Funeral Services For Mrs. Herman Herod Held Saturday
Last rites will be held for Addie Geneva (Schwartz) Herod, 67, Remington, on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. CDT, at the Rushton Smith funeral home, Remington, with Rev. Richard Madden officiating. Burial will be in the Remington cemetery. Mrs. Herod died Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Home hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Sunday. She had been ill for a week. Death was attributed to cardiac arrest.
Mrs. Herod was born July 5, 1899 in Lafayette. She was married to Herman Herod, Sept., 2, 1920, at Danville, Ill. The couple have owned and operated a grocery store in Remington for a number of years.
Surivivors include the husband; one son, Robert Herod, a teacher residing in Rensselaer; two daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Stauser of Indianapolis and Mrs. Floyd (Phyliss) McDowell of Dover, N.H.; two brothers, Edward and Richard Schwartz of Lafayette; and six grandchildren.
