Winsted Native Dies at Hospital Torrington
Mrs. Belle B. Provost, 81, of 383 Migeon Avenue, Torrington, died yesterday following a long illness. She was the widow of Vernon J. Provost, who died in Torrington in 1945, and had lived in Torrington for 60 years.
She was born in Winsted, November 18, 1879, daughter of William and Charlotte Bond. She was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Torrington.
Surviving are one son Vernon C. Provost of Torrington; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Wilcox of Waterville; eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Tomplins-North Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gracey, rector of Trinity Church officiating. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The funeral home will be open Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
