Agnes Howe Corbridge passed away peacefully at her home on April 20, 2011 to be reunited with her eternal companion, Ivan.

She was born on 30 July 1917 in Murray, Utah, to Edward Erastus Howe and Mildred Jane Cuddy Howe. She was the 2nd child in a family of six children. She attended Granite High School and then the University of Utah, graduating in 1938.

She taught at Preston High School from 1938 to 1942 when she married her eternal companion, Ivan Lawrence Corbridge on 5 June 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. At the conclusion of WWII, Ivan returned from Europe and they made their home in Logan, Utah. They moved to Chicago, IL and later Pullman, WA where Ivan obtained his PhD. They moved to Provo, Utah where they lived for 30 years while Ivan was a professor at BYU.

She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions of leadership including Relief Society President (twice), counselor in various presidencies, teacher and as member of Stake Boards for Relief Society and Primary. She served as an ordinance worker in the Provo and Jordan River temples and in the Mesa, AZ temple.

She provided civic service in various organizations including serving as a Pink Lady in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. With her husband, she traveled throughout the world and in later years, they lived in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Peru.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, who passed away in 2002.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn (Ned) Phillips, of Las Vegas, NV, Lawrence (Jacquelyn) Corbridge, serving in the Area Presidency of the LDS Church in Santiago, Chile; Wayne (Brenda) Corbridge, of Lindon, and Diane (Craig) Coburn, of Holladay; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Howe, of Murray; and two sisters: Marjorie Eliason, of Yorba Linda, CA, and Elaine Howe, of Murray.

A viewing will be held Friday, April 22, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Larkin Mortuary at 260 East South Temple, SLC. The funeral will be Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 am, with a viewing prior to the funeral from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Hillcrest 9th Ward at 915 East 9045 South, Sandy, UT.

Interment will be at the Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, UT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
