Stella McKenzie, 82, 2301 E. 23rd St., died Tuesday in Ball Hospital. She had been in failing health several months.
A native of Junction City, Ky., Mrs. McKenzie lived her early life there, coming to Muncie about 46 years ago. She also lived in Cincinnati and other communities with her husband, the late John E. McKenzie, who was a special agent for the C&O Railroad.
Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Industry United Methodist Church and Chapter 104, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Molter, Dade City, Fla., and Elsie Holeman, Muncie; two sons, John, Muncie, and Jack, Yorktown; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Meeks Mortuary by Rev. Yung Chen, pastor of Industry United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, Ky.
Calling hours at the mortuary are 3-5 and 7-8 p.m. today and before services on Thursday.
