Irving Bottensek

Irving (Jerry) Bottensek, 72, 2461 7th St. S., died Tuesday afternoon at Riverview Hospital following a stroke.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Carl Dockendorff will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Bottensek was born Sept. 7, 1907 in New London, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bottensek. He married Delia Schneider Nov. 13, 1928 in Bakerville. He spent most of his life in the Wisconsin Rapids area. He worked for Preway Inc. for 20 years, then moved to Las Cruces, N.M. where he was self-employed for 20 years at a drive-in restaurant. He moved back to Wisconsin Rapids and worked for three years at Preway Inc. as a punch press operator retiring in 1969.

He is survived by his wife; one brother, Benson, Jacksonville, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday until time of services Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
