Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Pace Rhodes, 78, of Gibsland were held Tuesday, June 7, 1994 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harlan Smith officiated. Burial was held in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes was a restaurant owner and a member of Oak Grove Methodist. She died at N. La. Rehabilitation Hospital in Ruston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Rhodes and son, Jimmy G. Rhodes. She is survived by one son, Jerry L. Rhodes (wife Jo Ann) of Gibsland; two grandchildren, Jerry Russell Rhodes (wife Cindy) and Billy Jack Rhodes (wife Linda); three great-grandchildren, Jerry Neil Rhodes, Courtney Rhodes, and Hunter Rhodes.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Hines, Sam Smiddy, Sam Eastham, Jim Kidd, Aaron Clark, and Joe Lindemyer.
