Thomas Mongar had his back badly injured Saturday morning by a fall of slate in the Skidmore mine northeast of Lucas.

Thos. Mongar, who was so seriously injured by a fall of slate in the Skidmore shaft December 31st last, died at 3 p.m. today. Since his accident he has been a constant sufferer and at no time has there been any hopes of his recovery. - LUCAS LEDGER
