Manuela Rodriguez, 77, of Brownsville, died Tuesday, March 19, 1996, at Brownsville Medical Center.

She was born in Olmito, and was a longtime Brownsville resident.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco H. Rodriguez, two sisters, Carolina Garcia and Carmelita Abrego, two brothers, Roberto and Rodolfo Abrego and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ramon V. (Consuelo) Cisneros of Brownsville; four sisters, Herminia Lozano, Amelia Abrego and Ernestina Fernandez, all of Brownsville and Albina Garcia of Olmito; three brothers, Raul Abrego of California, Ricardo Abrego of Michigan and Juventino Abrego of Brownsville and four grandchildren, Frank and Gracie Cisneros both of Brownsville, Lee Cisneros of Oklahoma and Raymond Cisneros of Minnesota.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John G. Castro, O.M.I., officiating. Interment will follow at La Palma Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ramon Cisneros Jr., Eleazar Lee Cisneros, Frank Omar Cisneros, Ramon V. Cisneros, Ramon Infante and Daniel Marrero Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to her grandchildrens' college fund, 454 Maria Elena Drive, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd.
