Statesboro, Ga. - Mrs. Edna Grant Lundy, age 62, passed on Wednesday, November 17, 2009, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a Bulloch County native, a graduate of William James High School, Class of 1967, and a retired employee of Georgia Southern College. At an early age, she joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lundy leaves memories to be cherished by loving children, Keith Grant, Corpus Christi, Texas, Jo Ann Lundy, Orlando, Fla., Cornelius Grant and Eric Grant, both of Statesboro, Ga., Emanuel Gordon, Nashville, Tenn., and Vanessa (Billy) Smith, Orlando, Fla.; six sisters, Claudia (Henry) Turner, Long Island, N.Y., Daisy Williams, Portal, Ga., Ruby (John) Mikell, Statesboro, Ga., Marie (Tony) Williams, Savannah, Ga., Helen Oxendine, Statesboro, Ga., and Juanita (Daniel) Grant, McDonough, Ga.; two brothers, Beamon (Jenny) Rich, Mohaven, Fla., and Frankie Grant; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Edna Grant Lundy will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Stevens Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Robert Cooper, pastor, presiding, and Bishop Moses Lewis as eulogist. Burial will be held in Eastside Cemetery. Final rites entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
