Saginaw Evening News, Sunday, February 18, 1900 - Thos. Collison died at the residence of his son, Wm. Collison, at Mershons, at 4 o'clock this morning. He was born July 2, 1807 at East Kent, England. He came to this country sixty-six years ago with his wife and settled in Phoenix, Oswego county, N. Y. Mr. and Mrs. Collison celebrated their golden wedding in 1882. He was the father of eleven children. Four sons and two daughters survive him. Three sons served in the war of the rebellion. Charles lives in Iowa, Anson, Edward and William live at Mershons, Mrs. Rufus Dagert at Saginaw, W. S., Mrs. Fred Norton in West Bay City. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the residence at Mershons at 4:15 p.m. and the remains will be taken to Phoenix, N. Y. for interment.
