Edith Shelton, 57, died at 1:55 a.m. yesterday in Handley Memorial Hospital, two hours after her admission there. However, Mrs. Shelton had been ill for sometime. A native of Marionville, Mrs. Shelton had lived most of her life in Greene County, the last 43 years of it in Springfield. Surviving are her husband, Jake; a son, Lonnie Carr, a daughter Mrs.. Margarete Weatherman; her father, C. F. Poston, a brother,. Mr. Virgil Poston, and a step-sister, Mrs. Ada Montgomery.
