Albert was the son of Benjamin Franklin Brenner & Maria Atkinson Brenner. He married Mary O. Martin, the daughter of Oliver & Julia Livingston Martin, on February 9, 1901 in Jay County, Indiana.

The couple were the parents of Oral Franklin Brenner, Oliver Verbal Brenner, Charlotte "Lottie" Julia Brenner Mathews and Mary Blanche Brenner Holcomb, all born in Jay County. The family relocated from Jefferson Twp., Jay County, Indiana to Cameron County, Texas after 1920. Mr. Brenner supported his family by farming his own land.

Albert B. Brenner, Dies in Brownsville.

Albert B. Brenner, 91, died at his home, 2006 Eighteenth, Sunday morning. Services will be conducted Tuesday from the Darling Funeral home, with burial in Buena Vista Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. A.B. Brenner; two sons, Verbal Brenner, Brownsville and Ora, Nixon; two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Mathews, Welasco and Mrs. Blanche Holdomb [sic Holcomb, Weatherford.

His mother's marriage record to B.F. Brenner listed her surname as Atkinson. Some records of her children (including A.B. Brenner's) list that as her as her MN. Most records associated with his siblings list her MN as Carpenter.
