Signa was born November 5, 1935 in Kendrick, Idaho to the late Frederick Paul Belveal and the late Thora Hegland Langsdale Belveal. She was of Norwegian descent and was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She was married to Ike Chambless for the past 23 years. They enjoyed travelling together, especially out West. She was a homemaker, enjoyed needlepoint, and was active in the First Baptist Church of Dawson.
In addition to her parents, Signa was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Orr and a brother, James Belveal. Survivors include her husband, Ike Chambless of Dawson; two daughters, Cindy Roberts of Americus and Angela Berry of Dawson; a brother, Gary Paul Belveal of Salem, OR; a sister, Velma Jane Hockley of Vashon Island, WA; nieces, Grace Hockley and Karen Orr; nephews, George Hockley, Jr. and Hugh Orr; and grandchildren, Brandon Roberts and Anna Roberts.
