Marcus DeLafayette is the son of Marcus Lafayette and Mary Elizabeth Bishop Baird. I also have record of his name being Marcu instead of Marcus but a direct closer family member tells me it was as shown here. He was called Fay by all who knew him. Born in Gibson Co., TN, he and his family moved to Oklahoma Indian Territory between 1880 and 1896. Marcus has 2 sisters and 3 brothers to my knowledge. They are:

Headstone shows initials only for his given name. Although he went by nickname "Fay", there are given names of Marcu and Marquis but family has requested name to be shown as Marcus. Research is ongoing.
