Robert Butz, 69, of St. Cloud, passed away, March 14, 1989 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born June 26, 1919, in St. Cloud, the son of the late Killian and Elfrieda (Dreifuerst) Butz. He attended St. Cloud Catholic Grade School and Goodrich High School. He served in the United States Air Force during World War 11.
He married the former Delphine Mauer Nov. 22, 1945, at St. Joe. The couple resided in St. Cloud all their married life, where he was co-owner of Klinzing and Butz Heating and Plumbing for 37 years. He was a member of St. Cloud American Legion Post, former member of the St. Cloud Fire Department and he also served on the village board for six years.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Larry (Anna Mae) Butz, and Ron (Tess) Butz, both of Fond du Lac; two daughters, Dave (Kathy) Trawitzki, West Allis; and Tom (Marge) Schirmer, Elkhart Lake; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Vernon (Carol) Butz, Kewaskum.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Friday at the St. Cloud Catholic Church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
