Born April 13, 1918, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gerrit Kranendonk and Catharina Johanna Adriana De Haan. Married V. Jean Sorensen on April 10, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple.
Frank graduated from West High School. He stepped into his father's position at Cudahy Packing Co. after he passed away. He served in the Navy 4
years and was a veteran of World War II. He later worked as the warehouse manager for Flint Distributing and for Huish Distributing, where he retired at age 65. He has always been active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as Bishop in the Rose Park 9th Ward for 7
years, as District Chairman of Boy Scouts of America for four years, in the Salt Lake Temple for three years, served on the Stake High Council, and numerous priesthood and youth leadership positions since the time he was Deacon's Quorum President. He and his wife Jean also served an 18 month mission in the Texas Dallas Mission (1985- 86).
Survived by his wife; four children, Brent (Pat), Sheryl (Rick) Riser, Becky (Eugene) Johnson, and Kevin (Vicki); 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-children; brothers, David (Hazel) and Dan (Melva); and sisters, Catherine Mills, Erma Ginn, Beverly (Ed) Graves and Arlene (John) Farrimond. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Harry and William J. (Bill); and two sisters, Agnes Dunn and baby Alice.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2003, at 12 noon, at the Rose Park 10th Ward, 760 N. 1200 W., Salt Lake City. Friends may visit Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and Saturday at the ward from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
