Graveside services for William E "Bill" Mason, a retired Sacramento builder, will be held at 2 pm Friday at Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Shasta County.
Mr Mason, 81, died Monday at his Anderson home after a long illness .
The longtime Sacramento resident helped develop the Town & Country area before retiring in the late 1970s to Anderson, where he enjoyed fishing and farming.
Mr Mason was a longtime member of the Carpenters Local No 1599.
Arrangements were made through Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Genevieve E. Mason of Anderson, Shasta County; a daughter, Sharon E. of Sacramento; a son, Shannon E. of Redding; parents, James Perry Mason and Maggie May-Mason of Nebraska; sisters Anita Lytell and Olive Jackson of Omaha ,Neb.; six grandchildren; and one great grandson.
