Daughter of Elmer Sidney Duryea and Lenore Victors, wife of Robert Millard Brown, whom she married on October 8, 1949 in Brookhaven, New York.

Marriage - Miss Gloria Duryea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duryea of Superior road, Bellerose, became the bride Saturday of Robert Millard Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Millard J. Brown of Gardiner, Mass. The ceremony was performed at St. Thomas Episcopal church, Bellerose, by the Rev. C. E. B. Nobes. The bride were a white satin gown with an Illusion yoke and full skirt. Her fingertip veil was draped from a beaded headdress and she carried white chrysanthemums and orchids. Miss Barbara Duryea attended her sister and Donald Kohl of Glen Cove was best man. Ushers were Raymond Balzan and Charles Dewey, both of Gardiner. A reception for the immediate families followed at the Swan club, Glenwood Landing. Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Adelphi college, Garden City and Teachers college, Columbia university. Her husband is an alumnus of Williams college, Williamstown, Mass., and Highland university He is affiliated with Brookhaven National Laboratories. Following a trip to New England, the couple will reside at Mastic Beach.
