Sallie Cooper

Mrs. Sallie Cooper, age 88, of Whitney died Wednesday, October 10, 1979, in the Whitney Hospital. Funeral Services were held Friday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Joe D.
Wade officiating. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney.
Mrs. Cooper was born January 17, 1891 in Whitney the daughter of Jesse and Eliza Worley. She lived in the Whitney area all her life. She married Doug Cooper December 12, 1909. He died October 12, 1944. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Madie Wade, June 6, 1976; Also four sons; Leon Cooper September 18, 1974, James David Cooper May 4, 1922, Marshall Cooper, March 21, 1933 and Edgar Cooper January 19, 1918. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are 5 daughters: Mrs. Hiram Hill and Mrs. Joe Curlee, both of Whitney, Mrs. Dorothy Minhinnette and Mrs. Curtis Clark, both of Fort Worth and Mrs. Melvin Hestilow of Waco; 2 sons: Fred Cooper of Whitney and Billy C. Cooper of Warren, Ark.; 26 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Irven Boswell of Whitney.
