Fred Cooper, age 62 of Whitney, died Sunday, December 23, 1990 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel, Dr. Allan Lane officiating, burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Mr. Cooper was born November 17, 1928 at Whitney, the son of William Douglas and Sally Rebecca (Worley) Cooper. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the highway department. He lived in Whitney most of his life. He married Johnnie Rae Purdue, November 22, 1963. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Whitney. He is survived by his wife Johnnie Cooper of Whitney, five sisters, Bertie Hill of Whitney, Jocille Curlee of Whitney, Opal Hestilow of Waco, Dorothy Minhinnette of Fort Worth and Eliza Clark of Burleson.
