West Columbia – Mrs. Helen Corbett Jeter Spears, 85, entered into rest Saturday.

Mrs. Spears is survived by her children: Barbara (Steve) Jeffcoat and Edward (Linda) Spears; grandchildren: Craig Jeffcoat, Shannon Spears and Wade Spears.

Mrs. Spears was born in and formerly lived in Wagener. She was the daughter of the late Leighton E. and Annis Lucas Corbett.

She was a member of the Wagener United Methodist Church and retired after 32 years as a teacher at Kelly Edwards Elementary School in Williston. Mrs. Spears was preceded in death by her first husband John Jeter and second husband Bob Spears, brother, Roy Corbett and sister Jackie C. Gleaton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 5 pm in Blizzard Funeral Home, 153 Main Street South (803) 564-5333. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home with the Rev. Hope Avins officiating. Burial will be in the Wagener Cemetery.

The family request that memorials be made to Wagener United Methodist Church P. O. Box 265 Wagener, SC 29164. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Reliant Hospice for providing genuine care and comfort to our "Grambie".
