Luther Roller Dies In Sleep
Leading Mt. Crawford Resident will be buried Wednesday

Luther Hensel Roller, 70, Vice President of the Rockingham Milling Company and a former President of the Planters Bank of Bridgewater and one of Rockingham's most prominent farmers and stock dealers died in his sleep Sunday night at his home in Mt. Crawford.

Mr. Roller was in his usual health when he retired.

A son of the late Peter and Francis Wise Roller he was born on March 4, 1881 in Mt. Crawford. He Graduated from Massanutten Military Academy.

On Nov. 29, 1905 he was united in marriage to Miss Gourney Lucille Hensley of Mt. Crawford. She preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1937.

Mr. Roller was a leading member of the Mt. Crawford Reformed Church where he served as a deacon for a number of years. He also served as Secretary of the Consistory.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson of Bridgewater and one son, Bernard Roller, at home.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for the Mt. Crawford Reformed Church. The services will be in charge of his pastor, the Rev. William Groff, assisted by the Rev. Walter Bangle. Burial will be in the Mt. Crawford Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; F. O. Funkhouser, D. H. Liskey, E. C. Wine, Hubert Shaver, H. W. Wyant and Charles Estep.

Honorary pallbearers will be; M. H. Myers, E. E. Armentrout, Dr. G. c. Andres, Roy Lineweaver, Dr. J. S. Meyerhoeffer, T. C. Craun, Everett Huffman, John Dove, John Miller, J. A. Bosserman, Clayton Martin, Ike Smith, John Gardner, and Frank Whitsel.

The body will be removed from the W. L. Rosenberger Funeral Home this (Tuesday) morning at 10:00 o'clock to his late home at Mr. Crawford.

Relatives and active pallbearers are asked to meet Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the late home where a brief service will be held prior to leaving for the church.
Honorary pallbearers are asked to meet at the church Wednesday afternoon at 1:40.
