Obit: Nellie Dorothy Davis was born near Clara, Missouri, September 11,1916, the daughter of John and Fannie Pollard Davis, she departed this life on December 2,2001 at 85 years of age.
She received her schooling at Clara and Sargent, she was married to Lory E Mead and to this union two children were born, later she married James A Chrisman, who preceded her
in passing.
Nellie was a person who enjoyed visiting with others and helping when she was able, for many years she was a health care employee. her failing health in the last few years limited her activities to a certain extent.
For many years she lived in the Kansas City Area and the last few years she made her home in this area.
She was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
She was preceded in passing by her parents and eight brothers and sisters, surviving are a son Robert Mead and wife Helen of Cabool, Missouri and a daughter, Betty Crandall of Rogersville, Missouri, 4 brothers, Buck, ,Bill, Arlin and Gene Davis all of Cabool, Missouri, three sisters, Velma,Mead, Esther Hobbs and Hazel Berry all of Cabool, Missouri, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchidren, two great great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends,
Services were Wednesday December 5,2001, in Elliott Gentry Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bii Vandivort officiating. Burial was in the Providence, Cemetery
