Saturday, October 14, 1972

Lucille PUGH, 61, Akron, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday in South Bend Memorial hospital, where she was a patient one day. She had been ill two years.

She was born April 7, 1911 in Miami county to Edward O. and Matilda C. BROWN DEEDS. She moved from Deedsville to Akron five months ago. She was married Oct. 29, 1927 in Mexico to Paul PUGH, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh had operated a grocery store in Deedsville for the last 10 years. She was a member of the Akron Church of the Brethren and the Gilead Eastern Sar 246.

Surviving with the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Pauline) MARTIN, Akron; three sons, Harold [PUGH], Akron, Jack [PUGH], R.R. 2, Macy, and Dale [PUGH], R.R. 1, Roann; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Denny and Earl [PUGH], both of Rochester, and Russell [PUGH], Milwaukee, Wis. Three sisters and two brothers preceded in death.

Last rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Sheetz funeral home at Akron with the Rev. Arthur TINKLE officiating. Burial will be in the Gilead cemetery. Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
