Katherine was born into a farm family of 15.She married Morris and they started their family on the Jessup Family Farm that was at the end of Walking Horse Lane in Greensboro.She was a loving mother to Frank, Fred, and Mary.This was a very self sufficient farm family that lived off the land.They lived in a two story farm house that was heated by two wood stoves.One of the wood stoves was used to cook all their meals.Katie was a hard worker that made her own butter and also helped with the summer tobacco crop.Some of the buildings of the farm still remain with lots of memories.
