Hannah Hassell
Died, on Sunday, May 2, after a short illness at her residence in Stevens Buildings, New York City, Hannah Morgan, wife of Bentley Hassell, in her 41st year. The remains were taken to Saugerties, on the Hudson, where the funeral and burial were celebrated.
The deceased was daughter of Jesse Morgan, one of the first settlers of Porter county, and she is supposed to have been the first female child born therein. She was raised and married in this county, her husband then being a civil engineer on the Michigan Southern Railroad, and now an agent of the great southern freight and passenger lines. He has the sympathies of numerous acquaintances as well as relatives in this vicinity.
