Mr. Bacon’s body was brought here Sunday evening to the Wolfe & Gourley Funeral Parlors. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Grant Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Frank Moore, in charge. The body was ten taken overland in the Wolfe & Gourley Funeral ambulance to Richmond, Illinois, where funeral services were held Thursday and where burial was made.
Mr. Bacon was born September 19, 1862 in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania. When a small child he moved with his parents to Richmond, Illinois, where he made his home until twenty-two years ago when he moved to Grant.
His wife preceded him in death many years ago and he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Buchert of Richmond, Illinois. Mr. Bacon was engaged in the produce business in Grant for many years.
