Mary O. Jones

Mary O. Jones, 84 passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

She was born on May 26, 1930 in Rogersville, Tennessee to Clay and Sarah Mae Gonce Lawson. She graduated from Rogersville schools, and later married Clifford Jones. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Mrs. Jones worked as a principle's assistant for the Pottsboro Independent School District. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Elks Lodge #238.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel with Reverend Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery. The Chapel in Pottsboro will open on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Collinsworth and her husband Scott of Denison, and Teresa Jones of Pottsboro; brother, James Lawson and his wife Johnnie of Raleigh, N.C.; sister Betty Bailey and her husband Tom of Rogersville, Tenn.; and one grandson, Cliffton Shane Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Clifford.
