Sarah Mae Lawson
Sarah Mae Lawson, age 89, Denison, TX, formerly of Rogersville died Monday, December 8, 2003 at Homestead of Denison Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She was a member of Tunnell Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Lawson; parents, Jefferson and Anna Winstead Gonce; sisters, Olivia Drinnon and Glennie Markham and infant brother.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary O. Jones, Pottsboro, TX and Betty Sue Bailey and husband, Tom, Rogersville; a son, James C. Lawson and wife, Johnnie, Rolesville, NC; a sister, Vernell Lawson, Edison; five grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was conducted Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Broome Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Harold Manis officiating.
Graveside service was held Friday, December 12, 2003 at Tunnell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville was in charge of rrangements.
