Robert J. Wechter, Sr., 58, Willow Dr., died unexpectedly this morning of an apparent heart attack at his home. Born in New Washington,OH, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He has been a partner in Bob's Cafe for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Council of Catholic Men, the Knights of Columbus in Norwalk and the Catholic Friendship Club. His wife, Margaret, preceded him in death in 1962. Survivors include: a son, Robert, Jr., Oberlin College; two brothers, Richard, Sandusky; Eugene, Plymouth; a sister, Mrs. Russell Hazelwood, Painesville. Friends may call at the Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Ave. West, Mansfield, after 7 p.m. Saturday. The Rosary will recited at the home Sunday at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem High Mass will be said by the Rev. William Conces in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Plymouth, at noon Monday. Burial will be In St. Bernard Cemetery, New Washington.
