A tragic accident occurred at the Grove Seybold home west of Trenton Wednesday morning when their youngest daughter Darlene was instantly killed by the discharge of a .22 rifle.
Mr. Seybold was going hunting and had sent his son Warren to the house to get the rifle. The other children were playing near the house, and when Warren picked up the rifle another little sister Elaine playfully pulled the trigger, discharging the shot which entered Darlene's body near the heart killing her instantly. Warren is about ten years of age, his sister Elaine is eight and little Darlene was five.
The parents and children are heartbroken over the tragedy, the results of an innocent act which takes from the home the baby of the family. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist Church Friday morning at ten o'clock. Rev. Arthur Swanson, the pastor, will be in charge.
