Jessie Seybold Cartwright, 41, of 212 N. 5th W., Provo, died Saturday afternoon in a Provo hospital, following a lingering illness.
She was born Dec. 7, 1913, in Trenton, Neb., a daughter of Grover C. and Molly Belle Rhoades Seybold. She was married to William Cartwright in 1942. They were later divorced.
She moved to Utah in 1934 and lived here approximately a year before moving to California. She returned again to Utah in 1947. She was employed in Provo by the Barbizon Company, and for two years at the Utah Valley Hospital.
Prior to her death she was attending the Central Utah Vocational School, where she was studying business administration.
Survivors include the parents; two sons, Ernest Ray Kucera of Tule Lake, Cal., and William Cartwright of Provo; one daughter, Mrs. Everett (Loan) Van Matre of Merrill, Ore.; three grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Pearl) Healy and Mrs. Jay (Lela) Kallas, both of orem; Mrs. LaVar (Elaine) Openshaw of Payson, and three brothers, Ward Seybold of Orem, Victor Seybold of Salt Lake City and James of Provo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Berg Drawing Room Chapel, with Bishop Phil Shumway of the Geneva Second Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
